In our opinion to be prepared starts with the mind and spirit.
#1 God
As a Civilian Guardsmen, your first priority should be to the creator of all things. Even the founder of this awesome nation knew that God had to be first.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights
Declaration of Independence
If any action, order, or situation would place you the member in a position that your loyalties to God are not aligned it is his/her duty to resist. A Guardsmen will NEVER be forced to act on or follow an order that would conflict with your religious tenets.
#2 – Family
You must prioritize your family next in the list, these are the people that you would lay your life down to protect in an instant. This is the core of our society. To keep our society going we must strengthen our families first, then our friends, our communities, our states, and our country. We will defend against any force or situation that would bring harm to those we love. In everything we do, it is for the protection and strengthening of our families.
#3 – Country
The third priority is to the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights, and our respective state Constitutions. We will always strive to preserve our nation at all costs; rejecting the tenants of globalization, socialism, communism, and anything else that undermines the ultimate sovereignty of our nation, its heritage, and its laws.
These are the foundation in which The Civilian Guardsmen will always be based.
